This is a very cool album from 1994. I was only aware of their first album until recently. A lot of this reminds me of the great 90s band Mindfunk, particularly their album Dropped. I guess it shows the influence of grunge after Psychotic Waltz's more metal early albums. I also like the excessive use of samples...a 90s staple.

A love/hate kind of production. I tried to like several times this massive, effect overloaded arena rock production. But the wall of sound prevents me to follow the core (soul) of the music...so a very personal "less is more" impression remains. Nonetheless Not a bad record at all...

I never cared about symphonic metal at all. I do very much care about folk as well as progressive metal, and so I couldn't resist after reading the third exceptional AMG review for Wilderun in a row. 'Sleep...' has been on my radar for quite some time, being graced by one of the most beckoning cover arts I have ever seen. The band more than lives up to its reputation, composing great musical pieces from start to finish. I absolutely love the multitude of influences being put together here.
